I use my cell phone to stream music and video a lot and unlike my old HTC Thunderbolt, the galaxy does not have a built-in kick stand. This means I have to prop my phone up precariously on various objects or place it flat on the table making it difficult to see the screen and muffling the sound. Because I didn't like any of the currently available desktop cell phone holders, I decided to design my own. It is important that the holder allows me to use my regular charger to charge my phone while it is in position. In addition, it needs to hold my phone securely in the vertical and horizontal positions. I also wanted it to be a standalone piece so it can add aesthetic value to my desk, even when not being used. I plan on 3D printing the stand.
